Our visit to the iconic Tiffany & Co. Flagship Store in New York City

Our visit to the iconic Tiffany & Co. Flagship Store in New York City, The Landmark, that reopened on 727 Fifth Avenue on April 28, 2023 after 4 years of renovation. Made by architect and designer Peter Marino the store offers an unforgettable experience on 10 floors: like a real museum, on each floor it presents wonderful objects including almost 40 works of art. Among the most fascinating ones, the majestic bronze sculpture by Daniel Arsham “Eroded Venus of Arles”.

At the seventh floor, we find the largest collection of Tiffany High Jewelry in the world. The sixth floor is dedicated to household items. The fifth floor is a triumph of “silver icons”, including the fascinating world of Elsa Peretti. The third floor is dedicated to love, and engagement rings, starting from the iconic Tiffany Setting. Nothing is left to chance: the spiral staircase inside the store is inspired by Elsa Peretti’s iconic Bone bracelet. As soon as you enter the store, you will be speechless by the beauty of the iconic 128.54-carat Tiffany Yellow Diamond, purchased by the founder of the Maison Charles Lewis Tiffany in 1877. It was worn only four times in history, by four women: Mary Whitehouse, Audrey Hepburn, Lady Gaga and Beyoncè. Who will be the next?

Inside The Landmark you can also find the fascinating experiential “Audrey Experience”, an immersive installation in which a replica of the black Givenchy dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” (1961) is presented. The Blue Box Café has also been revisited, offering the sophisticated dishes of starred chef Daniel Boulud. “Audrey Hepburn was my first memory of Tiffany, in the film based on Truman Capote’s novel – said Peter Marino – and before I even entered the store I wanted to press my nose against the window.” To quote the words of Audrey Hepburn: “Tiffany.. isn’t it wonderful? Do you see what I mean when I say that nothing bad can happen to you in a place like this?”
